Rain.

I adore the rain.  Adore the smell, the sound, the way it changes the light...

I adore the rain.  Adore the feel of drops hitting my face, hitting my body...

Rain is freeing.  Rain is cleansing.  It doesn't matter how hard or soft it comes down, nor how long it falls.  It is beauty, and drama, and a collective sigh all at the same time.

I adore the rain.  Adore the need it creates in me to get out in it and dance, or stand, or walk.

I adore the rain.  Adore the calm it creates in my soul, the way it seems to clean out the dust behind my eyes, the dust that collects in the dark.

Oh, how I wish it would rain...

This is rough, but I wanted to post it as it exists in this moment. I have been altering it, editing it. I hope it's gotten better.

AMAZE

I know
Not these my hands
And yet I think there was
A woman like me once had hands
Like these.

I do too. Rain is incredible, and the sweetness of the air...

Beautiful poem, by the way. The image accompanying it is perfect for the atmosphere.
